It’s about time we as a society faced up to a fact that everyone knows but nobody wants to acknowledge.  The people committing serious crime in this country are all coming from the same bad neighbourhoods.

It’s fashionable in these politically correct times to pretend otherwise, but everybody knows where the scumbags live.

Personally, I’m tired of all the hand-wringing.  I don’t care about rehabilitation. I want these people stopped now, today.  You can rehabilitate them all you want after they’re safely behind bars.

The fact is that teenagers in these lowlife areas are swanning around in €100,000 jeeps, and it’s inevitable that other kids see this display of money and want some of the action for themselves.

You have people in these estates who do nothing all day except sit around and collect the huge hand-outs given to them by the State, and I don’t believe the old truism about one bad family ruining an entire area.  As far as I can see, everyone in these scumbag areas is a sponging, thieving criminal.  Men, women and children.

I think it’s time to send in heavily-armed police, backed up by the army, to round up these parasites and fling them all into a detention camp somewhere.

And I mean ALL the criminal areas.

You know where the criminals live.  Ballsbridge.  Foxrock.  Mount Merrion.  Sutton.  Howth.  Malahide.  Blackrock.  Killiney.

Round them up.

so everyone in these areas are sponging, thieving criminals? including men, women and children? are you off your game?! who do you think you are, Hitler? detention camps and the army. right. maybe you should join the army then, make a name for yourself and declare all the sponging welfare recipients as low life scum who don't deserve to have a chance at a normal life. and just because there are children in these areas, who may have or may not have the misfortune to be born into poverty and a 'bad family' doesn't mean that they themselves will be the same. look around you to all areas- there are many people receiving welfare in every corner of Ireland. But of course, with scumbags like you looking down at them at any opportunity, then what chance does anyone have? maybe we should go into the wealthiest parts of the country and declare the areas where the thieving, sponging, money swindling bankers live, as "criminal areas" where every man woman and child deserves to be locked away. this post is a disgrace and if you wrote it to piss people off then you can add me as one pissed off bitch.

    Ehh.. Bock..
Correct me if I'm wrong but
I think Catherine missed the point….

  3.

and what point am I missing

  4.

Catherine – If you are being sarcastic in your post, my apologies.
However, if you are being serious.Have you actually looked at the list of places in Bocks post?
There aren't any "welfare spongers" living in those parts of Dublin.
More like the bankers, builders and general thieving politicians live in these areas..
For fuck sake..Gay Byrne lives in Howth!!!!!

  5.

That Foxrock is a dodgy area. I was wandering round there one night and two middle aged men in Louis Copeland suits jumped out of a 009 Audio, pinned me up against a wall and forced me to sign my life away on a €500,000 mortgage. "We "absolutely" know where you live", they warned as the drove off. "Your the third person they did tonight", an elderly man told me.

Blackrock, meantime, has been taken over by pushers in suits. "Pssssssst", want to buy a subprime? they whisper. How about a Hindu mortgage?

    "A Hindu mortgage"?

"Yeah, you can pay it off over 10 lifetimes."

A classic case of shooting first. Catherine wins the prize.

Well as usual Bock you leave the punch in the last line. love the addresses, i live in a reasonably affluent part of the suburbs of Limerick. The older children of these affluent people have adopted the dress style of the major scumbags in Limerick. Having seen them in pictures on the papers or on the TV news they dress in the same style, to look like hard men/gangstas. Walking around the area with hoods up, staring people down, sneering at anyone they feel needs sneering at. generally trying to look the part, a few weeks at a special type of boot camp would not go amiss here, show them what it would be like for them in jail, or in the future. The normal people of Limerick city and county, well young people that is! Seem to face up to reality much better. Never confuse stupidity with sense!

  8.

Hey Catherine, you have the right idea, bless you. Wrong approach tho

  9.

    Good post Bock.
Had me going there for a while until I read the end,

  10.

Bock I wonder if perhaps it might be you and your friends from the local that may be missing the point?
Perhaps Catherine does not have an apartment for her little “darlings” attending Uni. Up here. But not to worry this shall never see the light of day the Moderator shall see to that.
An in joke folks between Bock and I)

Gary — If you'd like to suggest a few more locations feel free. Or was this just your usual knee-jerk Dublin thing again?

  12.

Sodacake. I'd have thought. given the context of the above. that the major dress sense of scumbags in this country is a suit.

  13.

Bock this is your site. Might I suggest that you do seem to have a problem with Dublin? The idea suggested in the thread is valid. But can be applied to the entire Republic, perhaps the world. Limerick is not without it’s fair share of shitpots. The likelihood of us clearing them out is regrettably zero

  14.

    Gary,
    You're whining again, and again.
Well done Catherine, there's always one pet..

  15.

Gary — If you know of a bank chief executive living here in Limerick, please feel free to mention the neighbourhood.

Your defence of Dublin is beginning to border on the paranoid. They aren't always out to get you. Did you know that?

  16.

Bock I neither know nor care where any of the Golden Circle may reside. They no doubt, like Heaven have many Mansions. The point I am trying to make (missed it seems by those with an “obsessive” dislike of Dublin) is that the Golden Circle are not confined to Dublin. They are Nationwide! Some may be replaced, but they shall never be defeated.

  17.

Well there you go Seconds out, you have found me out. Suits, hmmmm, i would never have believed it.

  18.

Gary — This is getting extremely tedious. You're beginning to sound like some humourless North Korean censor.

  19.

Bock I agree. I shall leave you and the lads to it.

  20.

Can I interest you in a Hindu mortgage Mr Sodacake?

  21.

I can see why you call yourself Seconds Out now. You wear a suit too huh? Not all robbers are bankers, but it does seem likely that all bankers are robbers, in suits or hoods. Different styles same results.

  22.

Its track "suits" those fucks should have been wearing to work, with the pants tucked into the socks,

  23.

Thank you ronwan, would really prefer them in jailhouse stripes tho haha

  24.

maybe we should take to referring to the new scumbag generation as 'the porsche people' drowning out our woes from the pajama people. They will probably never get a jailhouse, considering the whole infrastructure seems to be all in on the money grabbing around Ireland.
