Charming yarn on the papers today on Keith Earls. Earls was addressing the rest of the squad on the PA
on a flight from Port Elizabeth earlier on the tour, "Urgenth missidge, " said Earls (writer attempting a Limerick accent). "Would whoever sthole Linny the Line rethurn him to his righthful owner." Traditionally the youngest member of the squad is always put in charge of Lenny the Lion, the cuddly mascot that travels everywhere with the squad. One of the boys had obviously "kidnapped" Lenny and hidden him. Earls, the youngest member of the squad, got it back.

The Harlequin fans are pretty irate over oul Ugo getting the chop. Calls for Ugo to come home now to wish for a 3-0 Boks win, this is the best or worst depending on your vies that I have seen.

"Without wanting to enrage the Celtic nations further, I think a strong Lions team must have a strong English core to it.

The reason is that England generally have the know how to beat the South Hemisphere which to be fair the Welsh, Scottish and Irish just don't have however well they play in patches during games against the SH.

The Celtic Nations add the flair and excitment to the team in certain positions which is why you see people like Jamie Roberts on this tour, Ryan Jones in NZ and BO'D in Oz become so popular.

The problem is that England are pretty poor at present leading to a sub standard 6N and this does have a knock on to the Lions chances!"

Yeah Hoof, you're right about Croft, he was very lucky and three pints is very fucking difficult. Jeez. I want them to win, but I'm more in hope then anticipation. But, but, I think there's one excellent match still in our lads, and hopefully it's next week. Jones is a bit of tinker and he might sort out that beast fucker. They have to mix it up from the very start and be like Thomand were way back, when they laughed at senior teams twice their size and beat them for spite.

Think you're on the money there Sniffle, a major digging session from the kick off looks on. Be well strapped in for the start and don't clench your pint.

Surprised Croft was picked. Sure he was on the end of two tries last week, but you'd have more trouble juggling three pints down from a busy bar counter than Croft had in taking his scores and he did fuckall for the rest of the game.

Glad to see Kearney and especially Fitzgerald on from the start. Didn't expect O'Callaghan over Shaw but thought he would have at least made the bench.

Hopefully a scrappers match. They can't let that arrogent shower rag doll them again. Did you see the way that fucker stood over Drico threatening to thump him whilst he was caught on the ground ? Don't think Heaslip is up to it. Better to have Wally there and Martyn Williams on the team. They need scrappers. You'll know after a minute whether we have a chance, so don't miss the first minute. I think it might be ugly.
