I wandered into the White House last night and found these two doing what they do best. So I made a couple of recordings.
I’m afraid the light was a bit too low for my little camera, but why not just sit back for a few minutes and enjoy the feeling, even if you can’t see the musicians too clearly?
Here’s Daithà and Yvonne.

Great stuff, I'm going to call in next Sunday if they're about.
Pity about the lack of light (must be the White house saving on their light bill!) but the sound quality is very good.
Haven't seen them in a while. Daithà is an excellent fiddler.
Unstranger, – such an excellent fiddler that he should link up with FF and the banks, who have entire violin sections running as we speak.
But on a bum note, they wouldn't be my can of cider. As the lead vocal out of the O'Malley's, one of the great urban poets of our epoch, and an er, am, great 45 player, says, "ye wouldn't be here at all if there was no bar." The volume of his instrument is the problem, it dominates everything, a constant high pitched whine linked to an amp, just in case it wasn't loud enough. And the way he drags out the closings bars of some songs, screeching down the notes like a banshee dragging her fingers nails across a plate. And he looking out over his bow at our sullen faces as he reaches his crescendo. No doubt he is the opinion that we have been stunned into silence by his sheer musical virtuosity. And he's right, we have been stunned into silence, after a fashion.
I'm stunned into silence by your constant negativity. Why so bitter all the time?
ah, Bock, some people are just bitter lemon wherever they go…
Fantastic fiddle. They sounded great!
Thanks for sharing. Would be a long swim to come listen. ;)
Hey abdul……you fuckin do it!!!!
Who turned the lights off?
Nobody.
As I said, the little camera I had with me couldn't cope with the low light. I use a better one now.
